The park is home to many rare species of flora and fauna. Among the plants, there are 26 species listed in the Red Book of Ukraine, such as sand astragalus and prickly pine. Of particular interest are the ‘carnivorous’ plants, such as Aldrovanda blister and medium sundew, which feed on insects.

The Park’s fauna is also rich in rare species. Birds listed in the Red Book include the black stork and the white-tailed eagle. Among the mammals are the forest ferret and the lynx. The park’s wetlands are home to the river otter and the European mink.

These natural riches make Nobel National Nature Park a unique place for biodiversity research and conservation.

Nobel National Nature Park also offers unique opportunities for ecotourism. Visitors can enjoy boat trips that allow them to get to know the park’s natural environment. Picturesque lakes, forests rich in berries and mushrooms make the park attractive to nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.

About cooperation with the Frankfurt Zoological Society

The Frankfurt Zoological Society supports the monitoring of the reserve, in particular by providing equipment for photo traps.

Since the park was established recently, there are no necessary administrative buildings on the territory or nearby. Therefore, together with its partners from the Nature Conservation Foundation and Tellus, the Frankfurt Zoological Society is renovating a building for use by the park administration.
